Encouragement from God's Word
Faith in Jesus Christ changes us from the inside out. Our hearts are no longer controlled by sin, but are under the control of Jesus. Martin Luther said it this way:
The Christian religion is very easy if you consider its external works, but very difficult if you look at its spiritual worship, for this cannot be offered if the heart is not changed. The heart, therefore, and the soul are what the true religion calls for, not a work or other external matters, though these follow when you have the heart. For where the heart is, there everything is. He who honestly loves you will not deny you money, service, or himself.
With your heart in the right place — trusting in Jesus — the right actions will follow! Feed your faith by growing closer to Christ and you will produce fruits of faith.
Matthew 13:23
“But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”
