The Book of James: Faith in Action

The book of James speaks to the realities of a living faith in Jesus—the kind of roll-up-your-sleeves and get-your-hands-dirty discipleship that is borne out of an authentic relationship with the risen Lord. James writes to believers who know suffering, who've faced trials, and who ultimately desire a deep relationship with God.

Join us for a transformative journey through the Bible. Explore the depths of your faith and gain new insights with fellow men seeking spiritual growth through:

Faith / Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”

Action / James 2:17 – “In the same way, faith by itself, if not accompanied by action is dead.”

Encouragement / Hebrews 10:23-25 – “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.  And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Accountability / Proverbs 27:17 – “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”

Support / Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 – “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up.  But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!  Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.   But how can one keep warm alone?   Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.  A cord of three strands is not quickly broken”.
