Beautiful Christmas decorations are being put up all around us. We will even decorate our church for the Christmas season this Saturday. These decorations are a reminder of the wonderful message that Jesus Christ is the true light of the world who has taken away the darkness of sin.

Decorate your heart this year as you eagerly hear and believe God’s Word. We have many special worship opportunities coming in December. Put them on your calendar so you don’t miss out. Grow in your faith and in how you lovingly put God’s Word into practice in your life. The greatest blessing of this season is the spiritual gifts that come from knowing Jesus Christ. Martin Luther once said: “There is nothing more beautiful in eyes of God than a soul who loves to hear His Word” (What Luther Says, p. 1471).
