Romans 4:16
Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.
You are, from God’s viewpoint, a true child of Abraham. God is not interested in your genetics or family tree. Children of Abraham are believers!
Through faith in God’s promises – promises that center on Jesus and find fulfillment in Jesus – you receive grace. Your sins are washed away by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. You live in the peace of that forgiveness at this moment. Through faith in Jesus, your death has already been defeated. God will call you out of the grave to a glorious eternity with him in heaven. This is a promise of God so it must come true!
You can live with the confidence that comes from your gracious status as one of God’s chosen people. He has poured grace into your life through faith in Christ. In fact, he continues to daily pour grace into your life as you live in faith. Whatever you see happening around you – in the world or in your life – know that it is happening to a chosen child of God. His grace will not leave you. Ever.
