God’s grace to us in Christ is intended to have an impact on our lives. Sadly, for some the impact is to oppose or deny the grace of God. But their rebellion against God’s truth does not change the reality of the work of Jesus Christ and the gifts he freely offers to those who believe in him.
For those who believe in Jesus, the impact of the gospel is a certainty of God’s love that leads to joy-filled fruits and acts of service. We gather for worship today to be filled with the joy of salvation and strengthened in our resolve to live in harmony with God’s will.

It might be expected for someone to feel sorry when they are caught doing something wrong. You might even see tears and hear words of apology. But you might not be surprised if the shock of being caught wears off and so does the intensity of the repentance.
Godly repentance looks different. God doesn’t want us to simply go through religious motions. God’s desire is that our repentance would demonstrate sincere sorrow over sin. It might be unexpected, but God wants us to see the grace and forgiveness he has shown us in Christ, and in response, to love him deeply and sincerely.

We will have a group brewery tour of Lakefront Brewery. There is food available with places to sit after the tour. Cost of the tour is $17. To sign up, please see the sheet on the back table at church.

Saturday, October 10, 4:00-5:00pm and Sunday, October 11, 9:00am-Noon
Serving Hope is hosting a craft/bake sale. Donations of pre-priced food or craft items can be dropped off at NOON on Saturday, October 10, entering through the church doors. If you have any questions, please contact Sharon Klinger

Construction is about to begin, and we need your help moving items into storage so renovations can get underway. The sorting is complete—now let’s come together for a morning of hard work and make that move. Please join us on Saturday!

Harvest Festival
October 28, 5:45pm @ Living Hope School
All school, childcare, and church families are invited. Enjoy games and activities for all ages, a photo booth, caramel apple station, music, and trunk-or-treating to end the night. Admission is $2 per person, ages 2 and up, includes a simple dinner. Signups for participation, donations, and volunteers are available in the back of the sanctuary.

Mary Mornings
Women’s Bible Study meets the 2nd and 4th Saturdays @ 10:15am at the School Campus. New Study! Love Rules by Christina Hergenrader. It is a study of the 10 commandments applied to life today.
