On Palm Sunday, the Sacrifice presented himself as Jesus rode into Jerusalem. There are glimpses of Jesus’ glory in the Palm Sunday account, but we know the agony that was only days away. In his willingness to be the sacrifice for the sins of the world, we see the depth of our Savior’s love. In that love we find needed renewal as we follow him.
Zechariah 12:10-13 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. On that day the weeping in Jerusalem will be great, like the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.”
